Location: Donalsonville, GA
Compensation: $50k - $80k salary (negotiable)
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Additional Hours: Occasional Friday and Saturday work as needed
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to lead daily production operations in a precision manufacturing environment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising shop personnel, overseeing CNC machining operations, maintaining quality standards, and driving production efficiency.

The ideal candidate will bring strong machining expertise, CNC programming experience, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of machine shop personnel
• Monitor production schedules and ensure deadlines are met
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Program and set up multiple Mazak CNC lathes
• Partner with engineering teams on fixture design and tooling solutions
• Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime
• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods
• Coordinate packaging and shipment preparation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of machining and CNC programming experience
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist
• Experience operating manual lathes and milling machines
• Strong understanding of tooling, setups, and machining processes
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment, including calipers
• Experience working with OEMs and suppliers to source tooling
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a production-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience programming Mazatrol T Plus CNC controllers
• Experience programming Mazatrol SmoothG CNC controllers
• CAD/CAM programming experience
• Ability to optimize toolpaths for productivity and tool life
• Experience operating:
  • Overhead cranes
  • Forklifts
  • Pallet jacks
  • Material handling equipment

Relocation

Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Donalsonville, GA area before the start date.
