Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for a full-time Mechanical Brake Technician to work at our Ellijay, GA location. Press Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining the hydraulic and mechanical press equipment. (Rolling, bending, forming material)

Essential Duties:

• Operate press equipment in accordance with the work order.
• Assist the department foreman in meeting production targets.
• Maintain quality standards.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Notify managers concerning any non-conformities and the need for repairs to the facility or equipment.
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
• Grinding and cleaning
• Moving materials through the operation of forklifts.
• Lay out jobs to match prints

Shifts Available:

• 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience a plus
• Must be able to measure quickly and accurately
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Basic computer knowledge
• Be able to stand and work in a warm environment for long periods of time
• Good working knowledge of figures and numbers
• Be able to work quickly and efficiently
• Be able to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds)
