Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading plastics manufacturer in Elberton, Georgia, is seeking a skilled Tool Maker with 3 years of experience specifically in the injection molding automotive industry. This is a climate-controlled facility that specializes in injection-molded plastic parts primarily for automotive interiors, offering competitive pay up to $31.00 per hour, excellent benefits, 401k, and long-term career growth opportunities.

Tool Maker Position Details:

Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday night - Thursday night)
Pay: Up to $31.00/hour based on experience
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in injection molding tool making within the automotive industry

Tool Maker Key Responsibilities:

Build, maintain, and repair injection molding tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for automotive parts production.
Operate and troubleshoot manual and CNC machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
Read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models related to automotive tooling.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and support continuous production.
Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure tooling quality and performance meet automotive industry standards.
Maintain detailed maintenance and repair records.
Adhere to all company safety and quality standards.

Tool Maker Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years' hands-on tool making experience in injection molding within the automotive industry required.
High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications in Tool & Die making preferred.
Proficient in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
Skilled with precision measuring instruments and machining equipment.
Ability to work 3rd shift consistently, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
