Salary- Starting pay $21.50 to $28 per hour, depending on experience.
- Compensation may increase based on skills and performance.
6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
Work schedule:
3 days on, 3 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off, 3 days of night shift, 3 days off, 3 nights on, 3 days off, repeating.

Responsibilities- Knowledge and understanding of the kiln alarm system and ability to react appropriately.
- Control process parameters (tank levels, temperatures, flows, moisture readings, etc.).
- Use a computer to safely control burners and kilns while properly drying a quality product.
- Troubleshoot complex problems within the machine center.
- Make critical decisions around burner operations and effective drying processes.
- Perform all preventive maintenance and correct issues with precision and accuracy on the machine center.
- Potentially work additional days or stay late on maintenance days when needed with short notice.
- Transport, store, and feed in‑process lumber with a multi‑ton forklift (Taylor).
- Ensure the work area is neat and organized.
- Operate a forklift 100% outside in a climate‑controlled environment.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Minimum six (6) months of experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, farming, warehouse, or military environments OR completion of training in a related technical discipline.
- Minimum six (6) months of experience operating a forklift, backhoe, front‑end loader, or skid‑steer.
- Experience reading and comprehending written instructions as required to complete assigned tasks.
- Minimum one (1) year experience operating a dry kiln, either burner or boiler.
- One (1) year experience operating a multi‑ton forklift or other related heavy equipment.
- Experience with rigging equipment and knowing how to identify the load weight to understand what rigging equipment is needed.
