Job Description
As a Machine Operator I, you will set up and operate production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. You will adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. You will be required to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to select, position, and secure machinery. Operations include saws, press brakes, various hand tools, a forklift, and other fabrication machinery as needed.
The duties of this position will change according to the day‑to‑day needs of Kooler Ice management and production processes, requiring versatility, adaptability, and physical ability to perform the necessary tasks.
ResponsibilitiesOperate the manufacturing equipment and perform affiliated tasks. Work under general supervision, following instructions and pre‑established guidelines, and exercise judgment in performing job functions. Additional duties may include driving a service or delivery truck or lift truck; proof of a valid driver’s license or forklift training is required and must be maintained at all times.
QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent, with potential apprenticeship or formal training in a specialty area. 0-2 years of experience in the field or a related area. Proficiency in measurement to 1/32 inch and basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Must possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
Employment may be contingent upon maintaining valid driver’s license and forklift certification as applicable.
