• Perform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description.
• Complete paperwork and reports as needed.
• Use a variety of tools and instruments to assess and inspect product.
• Check the quality of finished goods, including those loaded for delivery and returned goods for acceptance to stock.
• Review stocked pipe periodically and identify damaged product to be removed from inventory.
• Maintain a clean area free from safety hazards.
• Other duties may be assigned to assist in daily plant operations.

Experience:

No prior experience or training required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee occasionally needs to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. markets. The pay range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, sign‑on payments and other forms of compensation may be offered as part of a total compensation package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits).
