Maintenance Technician

This job is for an entry‑level Maintenance Technician position which should display potential to be developed. Technicians at this level demonstrate an ability to use basic hand tools and be an asset to the maintenance department but normally require direct supervision to ensure work is safely and effectively being performed.

• Perform various tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor including but not limited to electrical, construction, fabrication, or facility repairs
• Use facilities CMMS to document the completion of corrective maintenance work orders and PMs
• Installation of new equipment and possible movement of existing equipment
• Fabrication of parts and equipment as needed using shop equipment
• Must be flexible with tasks and responsibilities
• Must have a strong desire to learn new skills
• Assist Maintenance A technicians as needed to maintain production
• Complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner
• Follow all environmental regulations and procedures while completing assigned tasks

Education and/or Experience

• Degree in a maintenance‑based training program preferred but not required
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a relevant field required
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical wiring required

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills

• Some computer knowledge will be required.

Training Requirements

• Complete required training in LOTO, Arc flash, Lift Truck Operation, and Hot Works.

Tools, Equipment, and Material Requirements

• Must possess basic hand tools and toolbox; multimeter and specialty tools will be provided while employed.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
• Must be able to climb a ladder
• Must have adequate hearing and eyesight
• Must have good dexterity

$26–$28 per hour (based on experience)
