Material HandlerJob Responsibilities
- Move materials from one place to another
- Keep product on the line/tables at all times
- Maintain safe and clean working environment
- Report any issues to the Production Team Leader
- Always follow GMP’s and Safety Procedures
- Comply with all Company rules, regulations, work instructions and policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Skills
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow written and/or verbal instructions
- Must be able to interact well with other team members
- Must be a self-starter and able to work without close supervision
- Willingness and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to understand different units of measure and record information
- Good safety knowledge and safety record
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in a cold environment (38-40
F) - Use hands to find, handle, touch and manipulate items
- Stand for extended periods, walk and reach with hands or arms
- Occasionally stoop, reach, crouch, twist and walk
- Able to work Overtime and/or weekends
- Individual will be subject to production and warehouse environment (wet environment with temperatures in the range of 38 to 40 degrees)
- Medium/High noise levels from operating machines and cleaning equipment
- Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts
- Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to enforce Good Food Manufacturing (GMP’s) processes
- Required to use personal protective equipment
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check are required.
