Production Worker
Shift: 2nd (3:30pm – 12:00am), Monday‑Friday; overtime and Saturdays may be required. Training begins on the first shift and will eventually move to the second shift.
Wage: $19.38hr, plus $0.75 shift premium for 2nd shift. Depending on skills and experience, wage could reach $20.86hr.
Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, a Production Worker safely operates production equipment using standard operating procedures, assisting in various areas of the manufacturing process and striving to meet plant goals and customer requirements. Safety is the top priority.
Responsibilities- Gather, bundle, and stack fiberboard partitions and verify glue.
- Take strips from the stripper and fill the hoppers, keeping them to the proper height.
- Catch partitions at the front or side and place them in neat, predetermined quantities.
- Stack bundles correctly on pallets to meet customer orders and specifications.
- Monitor partition quality, measuring to specifications.
- Keep the work area clean and orderly to maintain a safe environment.
- Quick learner who adapts to change and works well in a team environment.
- Accurate counting skills.
- Proficiency with tools such as a broom, utility knife, bundler machine, turntable, tape gun, scrap buggy, shredder, and air hose.
- Proficient use of a tape measure.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn safety rules, procedures, and operating policies.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
