Rotating Lead Dyer
Mixes chemicals and operates or tends machines to dye fabric. Ensures correct shading of fabric.
Operates the dyeing host system that mixes the dyes and chemicals for the dyeing process.
Enters data such as the batch ticket information and formula identifications into the dyeing host system.
Weighs and safely mixes chemicals for dyeing process according to product specifications.
Responsible for visual inspections of the machine and fabric to insure proper processing.
Adjust machine settings and chemicals.
Reads and interprets data from the Color Eye to ensure that the fabric has been dyed to the correct shade. Interprets the data to adjust the chemicals for correct shading.
Troubleshoots and corrects causes of off-shade dye problems. Notifies supervisor or maintenance when equipment malfunctions.
Perform housekeeping duties in assigned areas.
Any other duties assigned by management.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The candidate is frequently exposed to noise, dust and various chemicals, and moving mechanical parts requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and non-skid shoes.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, sit, walk, stand, and hear. This employee may be required to reach with hands and arms at and above shoulder level, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, and frequently lift up to 50 Ibs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours will vary. Weekends and overtime may be required as job duties demand.
Little to no travel is expected for this position.
High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to operate a tugger or forklift. Certification to operate these units will be required.
