Beamline Painter Operator - Weekend Shift

Responsible for operating and overseeing the automated paint line for structural steel beams. Ensures proper coating application, equipment functionality, and quality control throughout the painting process.

• Operate machines, ovens, baths, and pumps.
• Set paint guns at high voltage level and adjust airflow rates.
• Create and adapt painting programs and parameters.
• Manage ATEX risks and automatic fire systems (STS).
• Run the pH degreasing bath equipment.
• Degrease and rinse products.
• Dry and bake in ovens and paint booths.
• Control bath parameters, including pH and titration products.
• Perform paint checks using Elcometer.
• Use PPE: glasses, overalls, masks, earplugs, caps, gloves, plastic sleeves.
• Perform preventive maintenance on blow guns.
• Use ATEX vacuum cleaner, cleaning machines, and maintain suction cabins for powder tanks.
• Use plastic bags, shovels, or dust collectors to collect powder.
• Handle spare parts for preventive maintenance.

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training a plus.
• Experience with stamping and roll forming presses and manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings, strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of measuring tools.
• Detail‑oriented, good problem‑solving skills, teamwork, physical stamina (lifting and standing).
