CNC Machinist

Automation Personnel Services is seeking hard working, self‑motivated, hands‑on CNC Machinist for a fabrication shop located in Ringgold, GA. In this role, the most desirable candidates will be detail oriented, mechanically minded, have an interest in manufacturing, demonstrate experience managing personal productivity, and quality to meet customer requirements. This position is full time temporary to hire.

$20.00‑$25.00 per hour based on experience based on Mill or Lathe machine type.

Day shift: 6 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday‑Thursday with Overtime on Fridays
Night Shift: 6 p.m.–4:30 a.m. Monday‑Thursday with Overtime on Fridays

• Operate a variety of CNC, lathe and/or mill machining.
• Operate machine tools in the machining and finishing of precision machine parts.
• Must be able to operate precision equipment to hold tight tolerances (+/- 0.0002 – +/- .001") and to achieve the proper surface finish in accordance with customer specifications and/or engineering drawings.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and follow work instructions.
• Measure thickness, diameter, and total indicated run out across multiple surfaces of industrial parts.
• Display the ability to focus on problems as opportunities.

• Demonstrated experience managing personal productivity and quality to meet customer requirements.
• Proficiency in reading micrometers, using dial indicators, calipers, and other measurement instruments.
• High level of understanding in the handling of parts with critical surface finish requirements.
• Aptitude for concentrating on minor details.
• Experience working in an industrial environment – 3 years minimum.
• Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and remain on task independently.
• Problem solving mentality that is concerned with root cause.
• Computer skills necessary for data entry — production and quality.
• Minimum Education:
  
  High school graduate or GED.
• Experience in a lean/5S environment preferred.
