Job Description
Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift 5:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday (Saturdays based on business need)
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Complies with and enforces all company safety policies to ensure an accident‑free facility, which includes, but is not limited to, assisting in identifying and correcting machine and work area safety issues.
- Provides direction to all production team members to ensure all key metrics are met accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitors line staffing and recommends plans to adjust staffing levels daily to achieve established goals for each line of responsibility, ensuring production levels are met while controlling manpower costs.
- Performs routine line checks several times daily to ensure efficiency and to check on the progress of machine, production and personnel.
- Sustains manufacturing methods such as 5S, Problem Solving, Visual Management, and Line Organization; ensures compliance with CTQ process and other quality measures.
- Ensures all components and paperwork for the next schedule are ready.
- Interacts with other shift team leaders, supervisors, Quality Assurance, production staff, and warehouse operations to achieve smooth production runs.
- Works closely with maintenance personnel to ensure all equipment is running at optimal levels for expected output and product quality.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2+ years of lead and/or leadership experience.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Ability to give and follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Basic problem‑solving skills and the ability to ask questions when issues arise.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate respectfully with others.
- Commitment to working safely and following all safety rules and procedures.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work scheduled hours, including overtime as needed.
