Job Responsibilities
  • Operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate and modify metal and plastic parts.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations.
  • Set up and adjust machine tools to ensure optimal performance and precision.
  • Measure and verify dimensions of finished parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
  • Select appropriate materials and tools based on the specifications and requirements of each project.
  • Ensure quality control by conducting inspections and tests on machined parts.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Document and report any equipment malfunctions or production anomalies to supervisors.
  • Continuously improve machining processes by suggesting and implementing enhancements.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a manual machinist.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of machining techniques and materials.
  • Ability to operate manual lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
  • Skilled in measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity for handling heavy materials.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if needed.
