Plant Operator

Overview

Plant Operator position (R) in Ringgold, GA (Acetylene production & filling).

• Care for and steward equipment within the production facility, including compressors, pumps, filling stations, and forklifts, to support a steady supply of industrial gases.
• Engage in routine inspections and maintenance to keep equipment in excellent condition, identifying needs promptly to help the team succeed.
• Safely support the flow and transport of cylinders, including filling and quality checks, prioritizing safety.
• Operate equipment such as a forklift to move materials and products safely and efficiently (where applicable).
• Contribute to accurate records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities to foster team transparency.
• Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to support a secure work environment.
• Participate in teamwork and safety initiatives to improve collaboration and processes.

• Applicants should be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or related field
• Technical certification in industrial operations
• Industrial gas experience
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Commitment to safety and following established protocols
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
• Willingness to work shifts and occasional extra hours as needed
