Shipping Clerk – Metal Fabrication Shop

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Shipping Clerk for a metal fabrication shop in Ringgold, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate inventory records, proper packaging, and timely delivery.

Position Type:
Full‑time temporary to hire.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.

Schedule:

6:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday; overtime Fridays.

• Pack, seal, and label custom sheet metal parts for safe transit.
• Use shipping software, email, and simple spreadsheets to track all product.
• Unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material using computer system and spreadsheets.
• Assist with inventory tracking of material received and stored.
• Use forklifts and pallet jacks to move heavy stacks of metal.

• 1 to 3 years in a warehouse or manufacturing role.
• Solid computer knowledge for data entry and inventory.
• Read a tape measure to 1/16 (tape measure test will be administered).
• Forklift experience is required.
• Lift 50 lbs throughout the workday (in‑office assessment will be conducted).
