We run a fleet of 4 and 5-axis MAKINO horizontal machining centers, Okuma vertical machining centers, and Okuma lathes and mill-turns.
Thomson machines titanium, aluminum, and stainless steel to the tight tolerances the aerospace industry demands.
We’re hiring an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Operator for the night shift to run and monitor precision machining operations on complex aerospace components. This role suits a hands-on machinist who takes pride in tight tolerance work, efficient setups, clean/organized work spaces, and providing consistent quality.

SHIFT:
Night Shift (3:00PM – 1:30AM)
- Set up and operate CNC mill-turn machines with sub-spindles to produce parts to blueprint specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings
- Load programs, set offsets, and make minor program adjustments as needed
- Inspect in-process and finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM as applicable)
- Monitor tool wear and machine performance; troubleshoot basic issues during a run
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
- Follow AS9100D quality procedures and all safety protocols
- Communicate handoff notes clearly with other shift teams
- 2–5 years of CNC machining experience (aerospace or other tight-tolerance industry preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Experience with multi-axis machining centers a plus
- Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
- Reliable, able to work independently, and comfortable in a fast-paced production environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to comply with ITAR requirements (U.S. Person status required)
- Climate controlled manufacturing facility with moderate noise level and concrete floors.
- Ability to move around the manufacturing facilities and offices
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally lift forty-five or more pounds
