Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Paint Line Supervisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our paint line operations. You will ensure the smooth and efficient running of our paint line, maintain the highest standards of quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Paint Line Supervisor, your primary duties will include:
1. Overseeing the daily operations of the paint line, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Implementing and maintaining 5S methodologies to improve workflow and productivity.
3. Training, supervising, and mentoring a team of paint line operators, promoting a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
4. Managing the maintenance and troubleshooting of paint line equipment including spray guns, ensuring they are in good working order and minimizing downtime.
5. Overseeing the use and handling of materials such as epoxies and urethanes, ensuring they are used correctly and safely.
6. Driving continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
7. Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards.
8. Collaborating with other departments to coordinate production schedules and meet delivery deadlines.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a paint line setting.
2. Proven experience with 5S methodologies, spray guns, epoxies, and urethanes.
3. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
5. Strong technical skills, with a good understanding of paint line equipment and processes.
6. The ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
