KOCH FOODS is seeking a Poultry Plant Superintendent to lead daily production operations in our vertically integrated poultry processing facility. This role oversees plant performance, safety, food safety, and quality while driving continuous improvement in yields, throughput, and cost. The Superintendent will manage and develop supervisors and production teams, ensure compliance with USDA and company policies, and coordinate with maintenance, live operations, and logistics to meet customer demand.
Strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and experience in poultry or food manufacturing are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily poultry plant production operations to meet safety, quality, yield, and cost targets
- Ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, GMPs, and company food safety and quality standards
- Manage, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams across multiple shifts
- Monitor production metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate with maintenance, live production, scheduling, and logistics to meet demand
- Drive a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures
- Optimize labor, materials, and equipment utilization to improve efficiency and throughput
- Support audits, inspections, and customer requirements for food safety and quality
- Troubleshoot production issues and root causes to minimize downtime and waste
- Report operational performance and recommendations to plant and corporate leadership
