Tool & Die Maker-Manual Machinist

IMMEC is seeking a Tool & Die Maker / Manual Machinist to build, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, and fixtures for aerospace, defense, and industrial customers. You will read complex blueprints, set up and operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and related equipment, and hold tight tolerances on complex components. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and refurbishing tooling, collaborating with engineers on design improvements, and documenting work.

You'll help uphold a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement while mentoring less experienced machinists on best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, sketches, and CAD-based drawings
• Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, grinders, and related shop equipment
• Machine components to tight tolerances for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools and document results
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform adjustments or refurbishments
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams on tooling design and improvements

• Maintain equipment, tools, and work area in proper working condition
• Support and mentor junior machinists as needed
