Cold Storage Shift SupervisorAllergen Alert:This facility processes peanuts.
American Peanut Growers Group (APGG) is actively seeking qualified candidates interested in a long-term career path in the peanut industry as a Cold Storage Shift Supervisor. This position will work safely while handling the responsibility of quality, safety, and legality of all production. This role reports directly to the Cold Storage Manager.
The following duties and responsibilities are not intended to be all-inclusive, and the candidate may perform other duties as requested to meet the ongoing needs of American Peanut Growers Group (APGG).
Position Responsibilities- Shares responsibility for the quality, safety, and legality of all production.
- Supervise all of the shift activities
- Supervise all Cold Storage employees during their shift
- Ensures that all food safety, GMPs, processing, and general safety procedures are followed daily
- Supervises maintenance of Cold Storage equipment
- Maintains the facility in a clean and hygienic manner
- Works with the Cold Storage Manager to schedule and supervise contract labor as needed
- Works with the Cold Storage Manager to order parts when necessary to support Cold Storage activities
- Ensures all paperwork and documentation are properly completed
- Attend daily shift huddle meetings, discussing safety, food safety, quality, and production needs and/or near misses from the previous day.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job while working in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure a safe working environment for you and others while performing assigned tasks
- Follow APGG Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines
- Follow APGG Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Understand and follow APGG safety policies, work safely, and report any safety hazards or unsafe conditions to the Operations Manager, your Immediate Supervisor, or the Safety Coordinator
- Demonstrate good communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team
- Must complete all required monthly APGG training modules successfully within the allotted time periods

- Bending, twisting, and stooping
- Sitting for extended periods
- Gross manipulation and physical dexterity
- Properly lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly
- 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, rotating weekly (7 am - 4 pm, 4 pm - 12 am)
- A Bachelor's Degree in Agribusiness, Business Management, Engineering, Agronomy, or 5 years of related work experience
- Minimum of two years of warehouse or logistics management preferred
- Proficient in MS Office, Google Docs/Sheets, and basic computer skills
- Driver's License
- Starting salary range will be $18 - $20 per hour, depending on the candidate's overall experience, education, and qualifications.
