Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend daily shift huddle meetings with team discussing safety, food safety, quality, and production needs and or misses from previous day.
- Must be able to fill out paperwork accurately and timely.
- Must be able to operate a forklift and pre-cleaning equipment.
- Make adjustments when there is a need and keep the system loaded for downstream processes.
- Must also safely enter racking system to retrieve and put away material.
- Must be able to communicate with maintenance and quality with concern to food safety of machine maintenance.
- Must be able to work overtime as required, ability to adjust hours, shifts as needed.
- Must rotate position between forklift driver and dumper weekly and/or other duties as assigned.
- Must be willing to work on his or her feet for up to 12hr shifts.
- Must be able to initiate action to prevent and/or record the occurrence of non-conformities relating to Food Safety and the quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- Be able to effectively use technology to perform duties to include, but not limited to scanners, computers, lab testing equipment.
- Be able to notify management of any safety-related or suspicious activities that may affect plant security.
- Be able to inform management of any food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become non-compliant with specified requirements.
- Be able to work closely in a team environment and make decisions as a team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Read and understand the daily schedule, and contribute to the successful completion of the schedule.
- Strive to reduce overtime, yield waste, and strive to improve daily line performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement teams.

- Ability to obtain a forklift license.
- Ability to communicate effectively.

- Ability to perform work in a safe manner with no supervision.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in a warehouse and production environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. shoulder level.
- Climb stairs and ladders and work on elevated platforms.
- Work with processes and procedures conducive in ensuring a high level of inventory accuracy.
- Must be able to perform daily, weekly, monthly and bi-annual Sanitation events.
- Must be able to perform minor PM’s and minor mechanical repairs.
- Must be able to assist maintenance employees when required.
- Ability to work in an autonomous work environment.
