Welder / Fabricator / Pipe Fitter
IMMEC is seeking experienced Welders, Fabricators, and Pipe Fitters to join our Industrial Services team. We are looking for safety-focused individuals with strong fabrication and welding skills who take pride in producing quality work.
Candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience are preferred.
Job Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and flux-core welding
- Fabricate structural steel, sheet metal, and miscellaneous metals
- Perform pipe fitting, joining, and related fabrication work
- Fabricate stairs, risers, handrails, platforms, mezzanines, ductwork, and other components
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Measure, cut, fit, assemble, and weld materials according to project requirements
- Operate shop equipment, including shears, presses, CNC saws, and plasma tables
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment as required
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company and jobsite safety policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of welding, fabrication, pipe fitting, or related industrial experience preferred
- Experience with MIG, TIG, and flux-core welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Ability to use precision measuring tools, including calipers and tape measures
- Working knowledge of metals, materials, and fabrication techniques
- Experience operating fabrication and shop equipment
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Ability to accurately lay out, fit, and fabricate components
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials associated with the position
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational training or completion of an apprenticeship is a plus
- Ability to obtain OSHA 30 certification through company-provided training
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and teamwork
