The Industrial Cleaner Supervisor has the overall primary responsibility for ensuring SNF’s grounds and equipment are cleaned according to plan.
This Supervisor will be responsible for directly supervising the activities of hourly employees to ensure employees are performing their required tasks and assignments efficiently while following all established safety rules and procedures.
This is a rotating shift position. Salary is based on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities Supervises all activities necessary for the cleaning of production areas on a daily basis. Maintaining and improving safety standards while conforming to safe work practices and procedures. Identifying and initiating corrective actions to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to team safety and efficiency. Following up on corrective actions through to completion.
Minimizing and controlling labor costs by enforcing and/or adjusting schedules as needed. Administer performance appraisals, coaching/development documents, and discipline employees when necessary. Ensuring all safety permits are completed and followed. Participating in continuous improvement efforts site-wide. Troubleshooting issues to decrease downtime and improve productivity/efficiency. Ensure operators safely clean interiors of boilers, storage tanks, industrial processing tanks, kilns, and tank and refrigerator railroad cars to remove emulsion, scale, incrustations, deposits of residue, or catalyst using shovels, squeegees, brooms, scrapers, hoses, water, and solvents.
Supervise and assist operators with the safe set-up and break-down of jobs including draining tanks, connecting hoses and prepping area prior to work, and removing tools and debris after work is complete. Direct operators in the safe operation and maintenance of all equipment and vehicles. Use high vacuum trucks and high-pressure water blasters to wash out tanks, stacks, and reactors.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent
- High School Diploma required. College Degree strongly preferred, preferably in Engineering or other Manufacturing disciplines.
EXPERIENCE:
2 Years
- Minimum two years of experience in the industrial or manufacturing environment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Strong supervisory skills with a focus on quality, safety, and lean manufacturing. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with proven ability to motivate and direct personnel. Ability to address issues, follow-up, and implement solutions as required. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Valid Georgia Driver’s License with CDL preferred.
