The Senior Pastor serves as the spiritual leader of the church and is responsible for spiritual leadership and pastoral care in accordance with Mt Calvary Baptist Church Constitution and By‑laws.

The Senior Pastor’s overall responsibility, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, is to lead members and guests to a closer and deeper relationship with God, and as such this role requires a deep commitment to faith, effective preaching out of the King James Bible and a passion for guiding the congregation in spiritual growth.

We are looking for a candidate who conforms to the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7.

• Prepare and deliver Christ‑centered, Bible‑based sermons each week, two Sunday Services and one Wednesday Service.
• Collaborate with ministerial staff and music leader to coordinate a cohesive and spiritually meaningful, weekly worship service.
• Prepare Bible studies and teachings that are biblically sound and relevant to our congregation.
• Develop, execute, and communicate the church’s mission and vision by aligning ministerial activities with the church’s overall goals for spiritual and physical growth.

• Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to our congregation and our community.
• Actively participate in visitation with our shut‑in members in hospitals, nursing homes and private residences and bereaved families. Offer support and prayer during these visits to provide comfort and spiritual care.
• Reach out to visitors, new members and newly baptized members with either a call or a visit to provide spiritual guidance.
• Organize a Sunday Communion Service along with the church deacons regularly.
• Attend Special Church events such as VBS, Fall Festival and Revivals.
• Administer sacraments such as baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
• Promote and foster a sense of community within the congregation. Encourage outreach efforts into the community.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive church environment for all attendees.

• Five or more years of experience in pastoral ministry in a role that involved preaching.
• Currently an ordained minister.
