Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Dawsonville

Spirit Hospice is a locally owned company built on trust, compassion, and an unshakable belief that both our patients and our employees deserve to be deeply cared for. We're your neighbors.

We believe volunteers are one of the most beautiful expressions of hospice care. They bring companionship, comfort, and connection to patients and families during some of life's most meaningful moments. As our Volunteer Coordinator, you'll have the unique opportunity to build and lead a program that leaves a lasting impact throughout our community.

If you're someone who loves building relationships, enjoys bringing people together around a meaningful mission, and believes every person has something valuable to give, we'd love to meet you.

Description:

As the Volunteer Coordinator, you'll recruit, train, mentor, and support the incredible volunteers who serve alongside our hospice team. You'll build relationships with churches, schools, civic organizations, and community partners to grow a thriving volunteer program while ensuring every volunteer feels equipped, appreciated, and connected to our mission.

This role blends community outreach, event coordination, administration, and leadership. One day you may be speaking at a local church, another day onboarding a new volunteer, organizing appreciation events, coordinating patient visits, or helping our bereavement team meet the needs of families. Every day is different, but every day matters.

Position Requirements :
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Highly organized with strong administrative abilities
  • Comfortable speaking to community groups and representing the organization professionally
  • Ability to recruit, train, and motivate volunteers
  • Experience coordinating events, volunteers, or community outreach preferred
  • Healthcare or hospice experience is a plus, but not required
  • Reliable transportation for occasional travel throughout our service area
  • Passion for serving others and living out our mission of compassionate care
What Makes Spirit Hospice of Georgia Different:
  • Competitive salary + mileage reimbursement
  • Generous PTO, because rest matters
  • Comprehensive benefits including Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(k), Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity
  • A supportive, real‑deal team that always has your back
  • Locally Owned & Operated:
Decisions are made here instead of a distant corporate office. We know our patients, and we know each other.
  • Employee‑First Culture:
We don't just care about you, we care for you with manageable workloads, flexibility, and leadership that genuinely listens.
  • No Red Tape, Just Real Support:
You'll work with a leadership team who knows your name, values your ideas, and empowers you to make a difference.
  • The opportunity to build something meaningful by connecting people with a purpose bigger than themselves.

Apply to Spirit Hospice of Georgia—let your spirit make the difference.
