MDS Coordinator - RN
Job Summary
Seminole Manor Care Community is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an MDS Coordinator. This position plays a vital role in ensuring quality resident care, accurate assessments, regulatory compliance, and appropriate reimbursement within our skilled nursing facility.
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and complete MDS assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of MDS documentation
- Develop and maintain individualized resident care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members regarding resident care and assessments
- Monitor Medicare/Medicaid documentation and reimbursement processes
- Maintain compliance with CMS guidelines and facility policies
- Participate in care plan meetings and resident reviews
- Assist with clinical documentation improvement and quality measures
- Current Georgia RN license required
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- MDS experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and documentation standards preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
