Overview

Braselton Medical/Cardiology is a 24‑bed acute care unit that admits adult patients with a variety of medical and cardiac diagnoses. The primary patient population includes but is not limited to:
Chest Pain;
Pre and Post Cardiac Catheterization;
Post Coronary Intervention without sheath in place;
Congestive Heart Failure;
Dysrhythmias;
Electrophysiology procedures;
Pacemaker Insertion;
General medical diagnosis.

Job Summary

Capable clinician with previous specialty experience preferred, focused on expanding knowledge and skills. Consistently provides effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to complex patients. Seeks and provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Assumes a clinical bedside leadership role and seeks mentoring. Participates in PNGC councils and Nursing Quality Teams. Actively participates on Unit Council to improve NDNQI nursing sensitive indicators, RN Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, Culture of Safety, and Patient Experience data.

Works with care team members to recruit and retain an excellent nursing care team. For new graduate RN, focuses on developing knowledge and skills and showing growth in caring for increasingly complex patients. Responsible for providing direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process and coordinating care for assigned patients on a shift to promote clinical outcomes. Requires consultation with experienced clinicians and accepts feedback as a constructive professional development tool.

Minimum Requirements
  • Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia
  • Associate's Degree (ADN) or Diploma
  • At least 1 year of RN experience; demonstration of competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
