About the RoleBraselton Medical/Cardiology is a 24‑bed acute care unit serving adults with a wide range of medical and cardiac diagnoses, including chest pain, cardiac catheterization, post‑coronary intervention, congestive heart failure, dysrhythmias, electrophysiology procedures, pacemaker insertion, and general medical conditions.
We offer a sign‑on bonus of up to $15,000 for experienced RNs, competitive salary & benefits, relocation assistance (within a 50‑mile radius), and opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities- Provide direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process and coordinate care for assigned patients throughout each shift.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, unit councils, and quality improvement teams to enhance patient outcomes and nursing sensitive indicators.
- Serve as a role model and mentor, particularly for new graduate RNs, fostering professional development and feedback.
- Demonstrate leadership in communication, delegation, and evidence‑based practice, applying the organization’s professional model of care.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement, including data analysis, safety behavior, and the seven Cs of Caring (Compassion, Competence, Confidence, Conscience, Commitment, Conduct, Creativity).
- Maintain adherence to safety protocols, de‑escalation training, and shared governance activities.
- Actively contribute to the staffing and recruitment of an excellent nursing care team.
- Support unit‑based initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, culture of safety, and patient experience.
- Licensed as an RN in the state of Georgia.
- Associate’s degree (ADN) or nursing diploma.
- At least one year of registered nurse experience; demonstrates competence in RN I performance expectations.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience with cardiac or acute care settings.
- Deliver safe, efficient, evidence‑based care tailored to the patient population.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Prioritize patient needs and recognize problems promptly.
- Demonstrate personal mastery and provide appropriate delegation.
- Apply problem‑solving and critical thinking to clinical, social, safety, psychological, ethical, and spiritual issues.
- Show cultural intelligence, diversity awareness, and commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Maintain self‑development in lifelong learning and serve as a resource for students.
- Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally (0–30% of time).
- Carry up to 50 lbs occasionally (0–30% of time).
- Vision moderate; frequent bending, kneeling, walking, pushing, pulling (31–65% of time).
- Intensity of work frequently 31–65% of time.
- Requires reading, writing, reasoning, talking, keyboarding, and use of computer systems employed on the unit.
