St Simons By-the-Sea is a 101‑bed behavioral health hospital specializing in psychiatric and addiction treatment for adults and adolescents.

As an Admissions Clinician, you’ll be the first point of connection for patients seeking care—guiding them through a compassionate, efficient, and clinically sound intake and admissions process. Your expertise ensures each individual is assessed thoughtfully and directed to the appropriate level of care.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients presenting with psychiatric or behavioral health concerns, including both voluntary and involuntary cases.
• Use clinical judgment to determine medical necessity and recommend alternative levels of care when appropriate.
• Gather and evaluate key information for insurance providers, including competing precertifications.
• Respond to and triage incoming calls, providing timely guidance and follow‑up to patients, families, and referral sources.

• Master’s degree from an accredited school in the behavioral sciences or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience; experience in an inpatient setting preferred.
• Preferred two years in intake/triage/admissions.
• Computer proficiency with previous heavy data entry experience.
