As an Admissions Clinician, you’ll be the first point of connection for patients seeking care—guiding them through a compassionate, efficient, and clinically sound intake and admissions process. Your expertise ensures each individual is assessed thoughtfully and directed to the appropriate level of care.
Job Duties / Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients presenting with psychiatric or behavioral health concerns, including both voluntary and involuntary cases.
- Use clinical judgment to determine medical necessity and recommend alternative levels of care when appropriate.
- Gather and evaluate key information for insurance providers, including competing precertifications.
- Respond to and triage incoming calls, providing timely guidance and follow‑up to patients, families, and referral sources.

- Master’s degree from an accredited school in the behavioral sciences or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience; experience in an inpatient setting preferred.
- Preferred two years in intake/triage/admissions.
- Computer proficiency with previous heavy data entry experience.
