Overview
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position at Northeast Medical Group, New London, CT. Day/Evening schedule, 40 hours per week, full‑time. EMR: EPIC. This role supports the Yale New Haven Health System Vision and Mission through integrity, patient‑centered care, respect, accountability and compassion.
Responsibilities- Implement accurate, safe, patient‑centric anesthetic care.
- Understand physiologic implications and anesthetic considerations of surgical procedures; monitor vital signs, capnography and pulse oximetry per ASA guidelines.
- Ensure appropriate documentation according to hospital and regulatory requirements and protect patient information in all formats.
- Demonstrate high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care.
- Continuously engage in projects that maintain and advance professional competency.
- Completion of a Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program and graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program (American Association of Nurse Anesthetists).
- Preferred clinical experience as a CRNA within the specialty, but none required.
- APRNs, PAs, CRNAs and CNMs must be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process.
- Physical requirements:
stand for long periods, wear lead for fluoroscopy/X‑ray, lift 25 pounds, reach above and below shoulder height, move patients between anesthesia locations.
- AANA Certification
- State of CT RN and APRN License
- ACLS and DEA Registration;
State of CT Controlled Substance Registration
