As an Admissions/Assessment Clinician at St Simons By-the-Sea, you will be the first point of connection for patients seeking care. The role involves guiding individuals through a compassionate, efficient, and clinically sound intake and admissions process and ensuring each is assessed thoughtfully and directed to the most appropriate level of care.
Job Duties- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients presenting with psychiatric or behavioral health concerns, including both voluntary and involuntary cases.
- Use clinical judgement to determine medical necessity and recommend alternative levels of care when appropriate.
- Gather and evaluate key information for insurance providers, including competing precertifications.
- Respond to and triage incoming calls, providing timely guidance and follow‑up to patients, families, and referral sources.

- Master's Degree from an accredited school in Behavioral Sciences or related field required.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience (inpatient setting preferred).
- Experience in Intake/Triage/Admissions preferred (two years).
- Computer proficient with extensive data entry experience.
