Certified Medication Aide

Community Health Services of Georgia -  - Responsibilities:
Administer physician ordered medications including oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal and rectal forms;
Administer insulin, epinephrine, and vitamin B12 as directed by physician and clinical guidelines;
Administer medications via metered dose inhaler;
Conduct finger-stick blood glucose testing per guidelines;
Document medication administration and any declination in resident records;
Report unusual reactions to medications to the resident, family, and health care provider;
Properly store and dispose of medications;
Provide routine personal care as needed (bathing, grooming, dressing);
Complete dressing changes of skin alterations as established by clinical guidelines and physician orders;
Communicate changes to the licensed nurse as needed
