Admissions​/Assessment Clinician - Night Shift

Responsibilities

St Simons By-the-Sea is a 101-bed behavioral health hospital specializing in psychiatric care and addiction treatment for adults and adolescents. Our team is dedicated to delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based services in a supportive environment.

As an Admissions Clinician, you are the first point of connection for patients seeking care, guiding them through a compassionate, efficient, and clinically sound intake and admissions process.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for patients presenting with psychiatric or behavioral health concerns, including voluntary and involuntary cases.
• Use clinical judgment to determine medical necessity and recommend alternative levels of care when appropriate.
• Gather and evaluate key information for insurance providers, including competing precertifications.
• Respond to and triage incoming calls, providing timely guidance and follow‑up to patients, families, and referral sources.

• Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience; inpatient setting preferred.
• Two years in Intake/Triage/Admissions preferred.
• Computer proficient with extensive data entry experience.
