Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion Oncology

Role

RN Oncology Infusion Therapy Clinician responsible for administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and hazardous drugs in an outpatient setting.

• Provide safe, patient-centred care considering age and cultural needs.
• Use evidence-based practices, perform the nursing process, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Serve as a resource for staff and medical teams, participate in staff development, and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in protocol development, promote research and evidence-based practice, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.

• Licensed Registered Nurse, knowledgeable in oncology infusion therapies, with ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work in a team, demonstrate critical thinking, and uphold ethical standards.
• Experience in chemotherapy administration and cultural competence is essential.

• Perform assessments, develop care plans, educate patients and families, document care accurately, and participate in continuous education.
• May serve as a preceptor and contribute to performance improvement activities.

Local travel and float responsibilities are included to support multiple sites within the healthcare system.
