We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Infection Preventionist LPN or RN to join our healthcare team in Rockmart, GA. This role also encompasses responsibilities as a Staffing Development Coordinator, ensuring the highest standards of infection control and staff competency development. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting patient safety and staff education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct surveillance and data analysis to identify infection trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention practices and protocols.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to promote a culture of safety and infection control.
  • Coordinate staffing development initiatives including orientation, ongoing education, and competency assessments for nursing staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of staff scheduling and workforce planning to meet patient care needs.
  • Maintain accurate records related to infection control and staff development activities.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and regulatory surveys as needed.
Qualifications
  • Current LPN or RN licensure in the state of Georgia.
  • Experience in infection prevention and control within a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of CDC guidelines, OSHA regulations, and other relevant infection control standards.
  • Experience or interest in staffing development, including training and competency evaluation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports related to infection control and staffing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems.
