Job Summary
Registered Nurses provide quality nursing services by working with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patients’ care while fostering a positive, supportive environment. The Registered Nurse serves as the front‑line representative of the patient care team and acts as the intermediary between patients, families, providers, and other care team members. This role is expected to participate in performance improvement initiatives;
maintain professional competence; mentor and support others; uphold confidentiality, safety, and professional standards; and support shared governance.
Monitors, examines, and evaluates the patient’s condition. Assists with the care plan and takes appropriate actions to promote short‑ and long‑term outcomes and wellbeing. Delivers the care plan as outlined, applying independent judgment where appropriate. Collaborates and communicates care plans with other staff, prioritizes daily patient flow and experience, and maintains appropriate documentation of assessment, changes in condition, care delivered, education provided, and any incidents or exceptions.
PatientAdvocacy and Satisfaction
Listens to concerns, probes in depth to understand needs, and responds appropriately. Serves as an educational resource for patients and families, communicating necessary information to family, licensed care providers, and staff. Embraces patient‑ and family‑centered care to maintain satisfaction among patients, families, staff, and physicians.
Performance ImprovementSeeks opportunities to improve the work environment and processes. Contributes ideas to identify solutions and supports change implementation, aligning with initiatives that enhance patient quality outcomes, satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and financial performance.
Professional Competency and GrowthMaintains professional licenses and certifications, completes required training, self‑identifies training and development opportunities, participates in professional organizations, stays current with research literature and best practices, and seeks opportunities for growth and leadership development.
Professional LeadershipMentors and precepts other nurses, contributes to a positive work environment, adheres to confidentiality, safety, and professional standards, and demonstrates integrity and shared governance principles. Promotes the nursing profession and assists in recruiting nurses.
RequiredMinimum Education
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (RN)
- Bachelors Nursing (Preferred)
- BLS-I – Basic Life Support – Instructor or BLS – Basic Life Support or ARC‑BLS – Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support
- RN‑COMPACT – RN – Multi‑state Compact or RN – Registered Nurse (Single State)
Full Time – Nights, 36 Hours per week (3/12s)
