The primary responsibility i s conducting li vest oc k checkouts for Tribal m e mb e r s, managing livestock on Tribal lands, responding to li ves tock conflicts,and pro tec tin g public safety by removing stray, nui sa n ce , or dangerous horses and livestock from hi g h ways and communities. H e / s h e w ill oversee the operation and maintenance of Tribal corra l s , coordinate livestock handling activities,assist producers with li ves t ock- r e lat e di ssues , and work cl ose l y with Tribal members.

Additional duties includem a int ain in gfe n ces , developing li vestockwater syste m s, operating and maintaining tractor sand heavy eq uipm e n t , assisting with irrigation i nfrast ru ct ure. He /s h e will help coo rdi nate graz in g and ag ri c ul t ural operations and maintain facilities and equipment. Applicants should have extensive li ves t ock handling exper ien ce , hands-on experience constructing fences, water developments and other ranch i nfrast ructur e , proficiency with heavy eq uipm e nt op e ration , and the ability to work ind epe nd e n t l y in remote l ocat i on sand under va r y in g weather.
