Technologist, Quality Control ​/ Manager, Quality Technician​/ Inspector

Key Accountabilities

• Support the Technical Manager in delivering Quality, Food Safety, Legality, Sustainability, Ethical and Technical standards across production areas.
• To be the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
• To maintain and manager customer technical systems, specifications, and documentation. To communicate policy changes and ensure compliance. Attend, support and participate in customer meetings.
• Manage documentation, spreadsheets, and reports for internal and external stakeholders with accuracy and timeliness, weekly, monthly and quarterly.
• Coordinate sample preparation and varietal approval. Organise benchmarking sessions, variety evaluations and manage reporting.
• Monitor and manage complaints, QSL, rejection and RTM data, including analysis and reporting for insights and performance tracking.
• Participate in supply chain compliance processes, Supplier Due Diligence and approval, Ethical and Environmental monitoring, Customer and internal reporting and testing and sampling.
• Undertake and participation in internal audits any customer/3rd party audits. Support with site traceability exercises and incident investigations.
• Engage with suppliers on seasonal prospects, spec alignment, and performance improvement. Support site and supplier improvement plans in collaboration with site teams.
• Visit suppliers/growers when required to review season, performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead and participate in investigations for complaints, QSL and underperformance using CI tools. Work with produce teams to identify and implement quality and efficiency improvements.
• Engage site teams on product quality, food safety, and legality issues; support underperformance management.
• Support NPD innovation and artwork processes, from concept to launch, involving all stakeholders.
• Identify areas of improvement, opportunity, and innovation across product and process areas.
• Attend internal meetings (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to represent the technical agenda and follow through on actions.
• Host and coordinate visits to site and supplier with clear objectives and agendas
• Approval and management of internal, customer and supplier specifications, supplier lists, spec alignment, etc.
• Support with Technical Enterprise Excellence KPIs and improvement opportunities
• Promote best practices in hygiene, health & safety, and environmental standard
• Manage time effectively across all responsibilities, prioritising key work streams to meet deadlines.
• To ensure brand integrity is maintained for Worldwide Fruit and our customers by following policies and procedures so the product meets the expected standard and specification. Ensuring that care and attention is dedicated to what we produce is to the best of our ability for all brands involved.
