Position: QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Location: Kings Bay

Duties
* You will provide Quality Assurance Specialists (QAS) responsible for assuring contractors and government adherence to contract, quality and technical requirements during the processing of missile systems and components.
* You will evaluate government systems and procedures associated with handling, transportation, and storage of ready for issue missiles.
* You will assure contractor and government systems are in place which meet the contractual and government quality requirements, and that implementation procedures are adequate for assuring the functional integrity of the system.
* You will monitor processing operations to ensure contractor and government adherence to processing requirements and assure missile hardware is processed in a consistent manner, and in accordance with approved procedures.
* You will verify performance and results of nondestructive tests of parts, assemblies and material, to assure conformance with applicable standards, specifications and requirements.
* You will perform investigations and analyses related to technical and quality systems, hardware and documentation, including data collection for trend analysis to determine the cause(s) of discrepancies/deficiencies.
* You will negotiate and assist contractors and government personnel to resolve technical and quality assurance/quality control issues. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the

Functional Area

and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established time frames.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to qualify for inclusion into the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP).
* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least three years of general experience, 1 year which was equivalent to at least the NH-01 pay band (GS-04 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

* You have successfully completed a four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position; or
