Quality Inspector – Ball Ground, GA

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for checking parts, verifying paperwork, and working with the Quality team to maintain quality, follow safety standards and guidelines, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Salary will be based on experience level.

• Plan & execute inspections: interpret aerospace blueprints and determine the most effective metrology methods and equipment for verification.
• Manual inspection: proficiency with hand tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges) for verification when the CMM is busy or impractical.
• Mathematical proficiency: strong shop math skills for calculating dimensions not explicitly stated on prints.
• Attention to detail: follow instructions and maintain traceability.

High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Quality Inspector.

• Software experience: prior use of PC‑DMIS or Zeiss Calypso (other CMM experience welcomed).
• GD&T understanding: interpret complex aerospace blueprints and apply ASME Y14.5 standards (positional tolerances, profile, etc.).
• Industry knowledge: previous experience in an AS9100 or ISO 9001 environment.
• Problem solving: knowledge of root cause analysis or corrective actions (CAPA).
• Documentation: experience performing and recording First Article Inspections (FAI).
• CMM fundamental logic: demonstrate ability to set up and run parts on the CMM as well as perform a CMM calibration.
