About This Role

Quality and Test Engineering Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of product quality and manufacturing test strategy within the factory, ensuring products meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards while driving operational excellence.

Job Description
  • Lead the factory Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal requirements.
  • Own key quality metrics (e.g., CEPPM, COPQ, FPY) and drive corrective action rigor across functions.
  • Support audits (internal and external) and drive closure of findings.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA), 8D investigations, and systemic corrective actions.
  • Partner with Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering to improve end‑to‑end product quality.
  • Own manufacturing test strategy, including development, validation, and optimization of test processes.
  • Ensure availability, capability, and uptime of all test equipment and systems.
  • Oversee implementation of engineering changes (ECOs) and ensure test coverage aligns with product updates.
  • Drive improvement in test efficiency, cycle time, and coverage to prevent escapes.
  • Lead development of test specifications, fixtures, and automation solutions.
  • Lead and develop a cross‑functional team (Quality Engineers, Test Engineers, Inspectors, Technicians).
  • Set clear performance expectations and align team objectives with factory goals.
  • Build technical capability in test systems, quality methods, and problem‑solving.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and high‑performance behaviors.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering.
  • OR
  • Master’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and 3+ years of experience in people management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean or Six Sigma Certifications.
  • Skilled in Root Cause Analysis (8D/DMAIC).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001.
  • Experience with PPAP.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Cross‑functional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications.
  • Experienced with automated test systems and test software platforms.
Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $117,500 and $234,500 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

This position is entitled to short‑term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
