Description
  • Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
  • Measure and inspect parts to ensure conformance to product specifications
  • Inspect completed or defective products or materials by placing them on testing equipment.
  • Mark and label containers, container tags, or products, using marking tools and labels.
  • Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications
  • Mark items with details such as acceptance-rejection status.
  • Notify supervisors or QC personnel of production problems.
  • Monitor and tend to machines that automatically sort or inspect products.
  • Remove defects, such as chips, burrs, or lap corroded or pitted surfaces.
  • Pack or package by hand a wide variety of parts.
  • Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
  • Perform production duties when needed by tending to the back of the ovens.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Computer knowledge and experience is required.
