Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a leading automotive manufacturing company in the Elberton, GA area, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a Tier 1 automotive supplier supporting plastic injection molding operations while driving continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and quality excellence. Pay: 75k to 85k based on experience

• Support production quality activities within an automotive plastic injection molding environment.
• Lead and participate in APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and 8D corrective action activities.
• Investigate quality concerns and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Support launch readiness and new product introductions.
• Work closely with production, engineering, and customers to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 quality standards.
• Assist with internal audits and quality system improvements.
• Develop quality alerts and maintain quality limit samples.
• Train production personnel on quality standards and best practices.
• Support customer complaint resolution and warranty investigations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.

• Associate's Degree required;
  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Experience with in a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • APQP
  • PPAP
  • PFMEA
  • Control Plans
  • SPC
  • 8D Problem Solving
• Experience supporting production quality and corrective action activities.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to commute to Elberton, GA.

• BMW customer experience.
• IATF 16949 experience.
• Internal auditing experience.
• Launch readiness experience.
• Quality training and coaching experience.
• Tier 1 automotive supplier experience.
• Continuous Improvement / Kaizen experience.
• Experience handling customer complaints and warranty claims.
