Job Summary:

Under general supervision, performs mechanical, dimensional, and visual inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished automotive parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections of automotive parts and assemblies.
  • Inspect incoming materials, work-in-progress products, first-article samples, and finished goods.
  • Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring equipment.
  • Identify defects and non-conforming products.
  • Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
  • Create, organize, and maintain QC/QA documentation.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, and quality control documents.
  • Work with production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify defects and quality concerns.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED (some positions may prefer an associate or bachelor's degree).
  • Experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or automotive production preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and inspection equipment.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
  • List all physical requirements to perform the duties of the job
  • Walking for periods of time on the Production Floor.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
  • Including required use of any Personal Protective Equipment
