You Will Be Welcomed In The Laboratory Of Plant-Microorganism-Environment Interactions (LIPME) On The INRAE Center Of Castanet-Tolosan (Haute-Garonne). You Will Work Within The Reach Team (Resistance Pathways Dynamics And Adaptation To Climate Change) Whose Staff Includes 7 Permanent Staff (Researchers, Lecturers, Engineers) And Non-Permanent Staff (Doctoral Students, Post-Doctoral Students, CdD, Interns). One Of The Objectives Of The Reach Team Is To Identify The Genetic Sources Of Resistance To Diseases In Plants Making Them More Resilient To Fluctuating Environments, Such As An Increase In Temperature, And To Understand The Molecular Mechanisms Involved.

The Missions That Will Be Entrusted To You Are Part Of The Development Of A Research Project Funded By The Anr (Nlreset Project, ) Concerning The Study Of Immune Responses Conferred By Thermostable Plant Immunoreceptors. These, Unlike The Majority Of Plant Immunoreceptors Described So Far, Remain Functional At High Temperature (30°C). The Identification Of Such Receptors And The Characterization Of Their Mode Of Action Open Up The Development Of New Solutions For A More Sustainable And Resilient Agriculture In The Face Of Climate Change.

The Work Will Be Carried Out Under The Responsibility Of Two Researchers (Maud Bernoux, Laurent Deslandes) And You Will Also Be In Interaction With Several Staff (Permanent And Non-Permanent) Of The Reach Team. You Will Be Particularly Responsible For: (I) Amplify A Collection Of Wild Accession Seeds (1001 Genomes) Of The Model Plant Arabidopsis Thaliana In Order To Identify Genes Encoding Natural Variants Of Thermostable Immunoreceptors, (Ii) Analyze The Phenotype Of These Wild Accessions, At Permissive And High Temperature, In Response To Microbial Proteins Recognized By Plant Immunoreceptors (Plant Culture In Controlled Conditions, Carrying Out Pathotests/Cell Death Response Tests, Monitoring The Evolution Of Symptoms, Sampling Plant Material For Analysis), (Iii) Use Approaches Of Microbiology (Culture Of Bacterial Strains, Measurement Of Bacterial Populations In Planta), Molecular Biology (Extraction Of Genomic Dna/Rna, Pcr/Rt-Qpcr, Cloning), And Protein Biochemistry (Immunoblotting).

You Will Also Participate In The Daily Management Of The Laboratory (Stocks, Common Equipment…).

The Work Provided By The Agent Will Be Carried Out In The Laboratory, In The Plant Culture Chamber And In The Greenhouse, And In The Quarantine Area (L2 Conditions). It Will Involve The Handling Of Biological Materials:
Cultivated Plants In Vitro And In Pots, Bacterial Strains.

Bachelor's Degree (Bac+3) Recommended Training:
Scientific Training Including Basic Plant Molecular Biology At Bachelor's/Master's Level. Desired Knowledge:
Knowledge Of Plant Biology;
Basic Knowledge Of Phytopathology. Desired

Experience:

In Research Laboratory
- Experience In Microbiology, Molecular Biology And/Or On Models Of Host-Bioagressor Or Microorganism Interactions Would Be A Plus. Desired

Skills:

Work In Team
