Salary Details The minimum starting salary for this position is $63,968.

Rutgers University-Camden, the School of Arts & Sciences, Department of Biology, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate, in the laboratory of Dr. Maria
E. Solesio. The research will focus on elucidating the mechanisms driving mitochondria to dysfunction and failure in neurodegeneration and aging, using cellular models. Successful candidates will participate in the initiation of the different research projects available in the laboratory and are expected to independently conduct their own research project.

QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience
Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. degree in cell biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, pharmacology or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferably applicants should have obtained their Ph.D. within the last 2 years. Experience in mitochondria and/or neuroscience and/or aging (or related biomedical disciplines) is highly desired, as well as knowledge of basic cell biology, biochemistry and microscopy techniques. The candidate must be self-motivated and hard-working and demonstrate evidence of prior research productivity.
