Checkout Team Associate

Role Summary

Front End Checkout associates run our registers. They smile, greet and thank customers, ring up items, process payments, and keep a positive attitude. They may stand for long periods and assist with customer questions and needs.

You play a major role in customer experience, often being the first, last, or only associate a customer interacts with. You must smile, greet, and thank every customer, manage multiple tasks quickly—scan items, explain price, bag items, count cash back, keep the area clean—and maintain a positive attitude in an intense pace, especially evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Smile, greet, and thank customers with a positive attitude
• Stand for long periods while checking out customers quickly and accurately
• Keep your area clean and presentable
• Answer customer questions and help them with their needs
• Be available to assist associates across the store as needed

• Ensure customers have a great first and last impression
• Gather carts from the parking lot
• Operate equipment to move carts from the parking lot to inside the store
• Clean restrooms, sales floor, and parking lot as needed
• Maintain a positive attitude in all weather conditions

Hourly rate: $14.00 – $27.00 per hour (actual rate will equal or exceed local minimum wage). Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives and premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific tasks.
