Represent Amgen products to physicians and healthcare professionals, establishing patient‑centered product education and territory account management.
What you will do- Consistently achieve assigned sales objectives through the promotion of patient‑centered disease and product education to HCPs to improve patient care while adhering to corporate compliance guidelines.
- Implement goals of the marketing plan through execution of a strategic account business plan.
- Demonstrate experience working in a matrix environment, encompassing Case Managers, Medical Affairs, Patient access teams, and other parties as deemed necessary.
- Effectively utilize all available resources and programs, including peer‑to‑peer education and cross‑functional partners within the company, to address identified knowledge gaps.
- Proven ability to navigate and identify opportunities through the healthcare landscape, including academic institutions, IDNs, accountable care organizations, private practices, and community hospital systems.
- Establish productive business relationships with key local, regional, and national KOLs within the geographical coverage area and assigned therapeutic areas.
- Develop and maintain a high‑level, in‑depth disease and therapeutic clinical and scientific knowledge.
- Utilize a consultative selling approach involving a highly technical, solution‑oriented selling technique enabling the specialist to meet the needs of healthcare professionals and rare disease patients.
- Execute all of the above with a strong understanding and adherence to compliance and corporate policies, including appropriate documentation and reporting.
The professional we seek is a person with the following qualifications.
Basic Qualifications (Account Manager – Level4)
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
OR
Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience
OR
High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry or hospital sales experience

Doctorate degree & 2 years of collective account management experience, sales, & commercial experience
OR
Master’s degree & 6 years of collective account management experience, sales, & commercial experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree & 8 years of collective account management experience, sales, & commercial experience

Associate degree & 10 years of collective account management experience, sales, & commercial experience
- Demonstrated success in a role involving reimbursement navigation, site of care education, and/or patient access coordination.
- Experience promoting a product that requires extensive coordination with office staff, infusion centers, and patient services teams.
- Prior experience working in or with Nephrology strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with infused therapies, buy‑and‑bill products, and products under medical and pharmacy benefit highly desired.
- Experience engaging within community practices, academic centers, IDNs, and hospital systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix environment, working cross‑functionally with Market Access, Patient Services, MSLs, TLLs, and Field Reimbursement.
- Strong knowledge of payer policies, reimbursement processes, and managed markets; experience negotiating access or navigating formulary pathways is preferred for more strategic roles.
- Proven ability to build strong customer relationships, educate on complex disease states, and adapt communication to diverse audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with both clinical and administrative stakeholders.
- High degree of self‑motivation, initiative, and adaptability in fast‑paced or ambiguous environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and virtual communication tools.
