Vos missions en quelques mots

You will be welcomed to the Experimental Agroecology and Crop Phenotyping Unit (UE APC) in Auzeville near Toulouse.

The UE APC has an 80ha domain located on the Auzeville site, main implantation of the INRAE Occitanie-Toulouse center. It implements various types of field experiments at the request of partners working on diverse themes including agroecology and genetics. Composed of 15 agents, the UEAPC combines skills in crop management (3 crop systems: Conventional Agriculture, Conservation Agriculture, and Organic Farming), high and low throughput phenotyping, and data treatment by Artificial Intelligence.

Your main mission will be to carry out cultivation operations on different crop systems and to support the teams for the monitoring of experiments. You will work under the supervision of the assistant chief engineer of crops.

You will be particularly in charge of:

• Contributing to the rotation and fertilization plan
• Preparing the necessary material for the implementation of operations
• Carrying out all types of cultivation operations (including the spreading of plant protection products)
• Deploying irrigation equipment and monitoring irrigations
• Recording each operation on the Geofolia software
• Participating in the first-level maintenance of the agricultural park
• Participating in experiment monitoring (especially crop system and long-term experiments)
• Ensuring compliance with regulations (environmental and safety in particular)
• Implementing certification elements (participation in processes, indicator records...)

You will also participate in different collective activities related to plant experimentation:

• Manual weeding
• Crop protection
• Sampling of field samples
• Occasional sample analysis in the laboratory
